9.1 Autly or Autley or Antley Elbin, b. 14 Feb 1899 in Aleppo, Greene Co., PA. He appears in the 1900 census of Aleppo. He appears in the 1910 census of Cameron, Marshall Co., WV. He d. 18 Mar 1922 in Loudensville, Marshall Co., WV, at only 23 years old, unmarried. He was a merchant and a bookkeeper, never married.

9.2 Wier W. Elbin, b. 22 May 1902 in Aleppo, Greene Co., PA. He m. Flo Elizabeth Huffner in 1924.

He appears in the 1910 and 1920 census of Cameron, Marshall Co., WV. In the 1930 census of Cameron, Wier (age 27) was married to Flo Elizabeth Huffner (age 32) and living with dau. Betty L. Elbin. Weir died in Nov 1975 in Cameron, Marshall Co., WV.

9.5 Paul Nowell Elbin, b. 21 Apr 1905 in Cameron, Marshall Co., WV, President of Liberty University in Wheeling, Marshall Co., WV, who wrote the book “The Improvement of College Worship” in 1933 among others. He m. Helen Elizabeth Pierce in 1929 in WV. No heirs. He d. May 1985 in WV. The Paul Elbin Library was named after him in West Liberty, Ohio Co., WV. The Elbin Auditorium was also named after him in West Liberty.

9.7 Harry C. Elbin, b. 11 May 1916 in Cameron, Marshall Co., WV. He lived in Cameron in the 1930 and 1940 census. He d. Jan 1960 in Broward Co., FL. He m. Gertrude I. Simms in 1934 in Ohio Co., WV. He was a student in 1939 in Morgantown, WV.

Obituary: Gertrude Imogene Simms-Elbin, former nurse at Brown County Hospital, died Feb. 15 at the Hospice of Cincinnati in Blue Ash. She was 84.

Mrs. Simms-Elbin was a nurse for 15 years in Brown County. She received her education at both West Virginia Wesleyan and West Virginia University.

She retired in 1976.

Mrs. Simms-Elbin, born in Cameron, W.Va., was a member of the Susan B. Anthony Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star from 1948 to the late 1970s. She had previously represented the white point position (Esther) on the Eastern Star Symbol. In that position, she participated in several of the organization's services.

Mrs. Simms-Elbin, a longtime resident of Bethel, had been a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church since the 1940s, when she moved to Cincinnati.

Her husband preceded her in death.

Surviving are: two daughters, Dolores Jean Ellis of Amelia and Carol Elbin of Bethel; a brother, Clyde Simms of Massillon, Ohio; a sister, Ethel Harden of Center Line, Mich.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held March 6 at the Bethel United Methodist Church, 402 W. Plane. Burial will follow at the Bethel-Tate Cemetery.

Beatrice Ann Behmer or Behnner on 23 Oct 1941 in Columbus, OH. She was b. 19 Sep 1921, the dau. of Charles and Ethel (Krammer) Behnner, d. 2008. He m2. Gladys R. Taylor who was b. 1891 and d. 1980. His mother, Mary James, changed his name to John W. Elbin after his father deserted the family and remarried as she did not want him to share the name of his father. Either that story is true or the 1920 census record is in error. A birth certificate was obtained in 2012 from Wheeling, WV, indicating that his name was John William at birth, but the birth record might have been changed. Listed in the 1920 census of Richland, Ohio Co., WV, as William H. Elbin. In 1924 his father left the family for another woman. Listed in the 1930 census of Cambridge, Guernsey Co., OH, as John W. Elbin. He m. Beatrice A. Behmer before the 1930 census as they are all living together with his mother, Marie James, in 1930. John W. Elbin is listed in the 1940 census of Columbus, Franklin Co., OH. In 1943 they were living at 462 W. 6^th St. in Erie, PA, where John was a diesinker.

Ms. Nancy Abell is Goddard’s associate director. In this role, she has oversight responsibility for all human capital, institutional and business management activities at the center. Abell has spent her entire career at Goddard. She began her service to NASA as a summer intern in 1968 and became a permanent employee in 1972, initially serving as a financial analyst. She gained extensive experience in resources and financial management at the center. She was promoted to financial manager in 1979, accountable for the financial resources of the Space Sciences Directorate.

In 1981, Abell became a senior analyst in the Office of the Comptroller, responsible for independent review, assessment and analysis of programmatic and resources requirements for major Goddard programs. In 1990, she was named chief of the Administration and Resources Management Office in the Space Sciences Directorate and served as the senior resources authority for the directorate. Five years later, Abell was named the center's deputy comptroller. She became Goddard’s chief financial officer in July 1998, responsible for the development, implementation and administration of Goddard’s system of resources management and financial control. In June 2007, Abell was appointed to the position of Goddard’s associate director.

Abell holds a bachelor's degree in business and public administration from the University of Maryland at College Park and a master’s degree in general administration from the University of Maryland, University College. She is a senior fellow in the Council for Excellence in Government.

Robert studied Sport Psychology at Michigan State University, and before that he was at the University of New Orleans and Delgado Community College. He obtained a Ph.D., and was Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology, Leisure, and Sport Sciences at East Tennessee State University (ETSU), Johnson City, TN. Now he is a Research Fellow at the University of Pittsburgh, PA. On Facebook as R. J. Elbin. Danae L. Elbin may have moved to 1338 E. Crossings Place, Westlake, Ohio.

9.53 Kurt Elbin, who was named an assistant coach on July 27, 2012, enters his first season with Rams after spending the previous two seasons at Shippensburg University.
During his two year tenure at Shippensburg, Elbin helped lead the Raiders to 87 wins, including 32 this past season. The 32 wins were the most wins the program posted since 2008.
Before joining the Raiders staff, Elbin spent three seasons at Thiel College. Under his guidance the Tomcats were a Division III powerhouse in the President's Athletic Conference, being ranked as high as 13^th nationally during his stint.
The Bedford, Pa. native played collegiately at Lock Haven, where he graduated in 2006 before finishing his Master's at California (Pa.) in 2008.
